This wall hanging is inspired by the Borneo rain forest. The forest background is created from a large variety of green fabrics applied using fusing and raw edge appliqué. The foreground is also made up of a large number of pieces of fabric fused in place and then different coloured snippets of fabric stitched in place to give the impression of fallen leaves. Details were added using raw edge appliqué and thread painting.
