This design shows a male pied hornbill on a travelers palm. The design is constructed using satin stitch machine appliqué with rayon threads and batik fabrics with a subtle multi coloured batik background for the sky. The main part of the design is quilted with invisible thread and a fine polyester  thread for the border.
