This design is inspired by a print in a very old book of flower illustrations called 'A Bouquet of Wild Flowers'  I adapted the design for appliqué  and created the flowers from a variety of batik fabrics and hand stitched them  using silk threads.  The wall hanging is finished with machine quilting using invisible thread in the main part of the design and variegated cotton for the border.
