This wall hanging is inspired by the frangipani flowers that grow on a tree in our garden by the sea. I hand painted the fabric for the background and the flower and stems are made from batik fabrics to replicate the delicate shading of the petals and stems.

The design is created using invisible machine appliqué and finished with machine quilting using invisible and a polyester variegated cotton thread.
