This wall hanging is inspired by the heliconia or ‘Bird of Paradise’ flowers that grow in our garden. The background is a beautiful blue, green and white mottled sea spray coloured batik which sets off the bright orange of the flower and the dark green of the leaves.

The design is created using invisible machine appliqué and finished with machine quilting using a variegated cotton thread.
