This waterfall design is inspired by the Borneo rain forest.

The background is appliquéd using a variety of fabrics to create the impression of the rich colours of the forest.

The trees and plants are added using machine appliqué. Thread couching, machine embroidery and decorative quilting finish off the piece and add further texture and depth to the design.
