This design is inspired by the beautiful hibiscus flowers that grow in our garden. The petal fabric is hand painted and the remaining fabrics are cotton batiks. The design is constructed using invisible machine appliqué and the background is quilted with invisible monofilament thread machine meander quilting. Details are added with hand embroidery on the stamen.
