The art quilts that I make are mostly inspired by my life here in South East Asia: the exotic flowers and plants, the wildlife, tropical rain forest and the sea, as well as traditional batik and ethnic art styles. I am originally from England , but have lived in Brunei, South East Asia, with my husband and two cats for over ten years. I have been quilting for many years but until recently only made the more traditional style patchwork and appliqué quilts. Each wall hanging is unique and individually hand made by myself, so no two pieces are ever the same even though I might repeat a popular design. Most of my designs are finished as wall hangings with either a sleeve or loops so that they can be hung from a rod or wooden bar. I like to work on a small scale so most of the designs are around 20 inches by 20 inches (55cms by 55cms.) so can easily be hung and displayed anywhere. Each quilt is also finished with its own label. In the gallery you can see a selection of some of my recent appliqué wall hangings.
